So Long Scott!
Hey folks!
I figured I'd better post this past weekend's camp trip (especially since Kim has linked it to her blog and I haven't done it yet! :) I'll keep the details to a minimum..
Friday afternoon, Darcy, Mitch and Jake drove up in our truck, and Kim and I went in her car. Scott had left earlier that day (the benefits of not working..ha ha!). It was actually a really nice day, not too cold and no wind. The camp road was plowed about half way up, but the rest of the road was still driveable. I took absolutely no pictures on Friday night, probably because we spent the majority of the time cruising around on the four-wheelers and sled. There was a mishap, but I left that story to Kim since I missed the event. You can read about it on her blog. Despite that, we still managed to have a really good night!
Saturday became quite a bit colder. Tracey, Trenton and Andy arrived (in the camp yard with a mini-van..ha ha), around lunch time. We spent the whole day outside! The kids had a great time taking turns with driving the four-wheeler and hopping in the sled. Tracey and I even managed to get sucked in for a trip or two! Unfortunately Kim had hurt her back and spent her afternoon zonked out in the top bunk. But, that was a good choice because she woke up feeling much better!
By dark, it was time to go inside! It was just too darn cold to stay out any longer. We had a "sing-song", and Andy taught Mitch and Trenton how to play crib..which is what they did for the rest of the night! :) So, that's pretty much it..nothing too extreme, but a good time overall! Now, time for some pictures..
Tracey getting "sucked in" for her first sled trip...heh heh! Trenton is driving the bike and her and Mitch are in the sled. I'm not sure what Darcy is doing (adjusting her hat maybe?)..
A close-up of them in the sled..
The camp yard, and as you can see there's not much snow!
The boys playing crib...
Tracey and Andy...
Scott and Darcy..
The gang trying to decide what song to sing next...
Kim's "unimpressed" look...heh heh!
And probably the last time you'll see a picture of the truck parked in front of the camp this winter! I'm sure the road won't be so great next time...
So, that's about it! Scott's last camp weekend for quite some time..hard to believe! It's gonna be strange not having him around...we'll all miss ya buddy!
Till next time,
Liss :)
