Porch Burnin' Weekend - Saturday

Well folks..fall is in the air and I LOVE it! Saturday was a gorgeous day, sunny and the air was crisp. Not a day for shorts! Daniel slept right through the night, and didn't wake up till 8:00am. What a good baby! He doesn't cry when he wakes up either, just starts talking and jabbering, it's so cute. We put our new coleman coffee maker to the test, and Darcy cooked an artery-clogging community breakfast for everybody. After that we all retired to the yard and just sat around yakking. Scott and Vince went for a run on the bikes, the rest of us took 'er easy. I think we all had an afternoon nap, except for Coll. We got a few pics from that lazy afternoon, first up is Katie Pooh!Here's little Gam sitting in his playpen..

So, after everyone woke up and ate some BBQ, we were good to go again! A couple of guys who have the camp beside Scott came over for a visit (Jim and Jerry). Vince arrived, and we started to burn the remainder of the porch. Believe me, there wasn't much wood left! Mitch and Dakota spent their afternoon and evening catching frogs, which they kept in the camp porch. They ended up with 10 or 12 frogs, and they were jumping out of the bucket and trying hard to escape. Before things got too out of hand, I roamed around and took a few pictures. Here's a group shot of everyone..

The rest of the night was quite fun! Lots of great tunes on the guitar, Scott and I did the background singing..LOL. We thought we sounded pretty good, eh Scott? :) Our batteries lasted right till late that night, which was a bonus! It's so nice not using a generator.

So, this'll be it for the camp trips till October! We've hardly spent any time there this summer! Next time we're having a party for Dean and Jade's arrival, there's also some other reasons (Jana's birthday, Vince's retirement, and Scott's "retirement"..LOL). So, we'll just have to do it all at once and have a big bash! Should be fun! Till next time,
