Log Rolling and Flying Squirrels!
Well it's late as usual, but I have an excuse (eh Scott?)..heh heh. I figured I'd better post the entry from last weekend, before we head up to the camp for the next two weekends! Can't wait! Woo hoo! You'll be happy to know that Darcy bought a digital camera last week, so we won't be bugging everyone for pictures of our trips all the time (unless they're really cool!)
So, our family, plus Scott and Kim were all up for a weekend of relaxation and good times! The weather was awesome, and we all had a blast! Mitch and I started a game Friday night, seeing how long we could balance on a rolling log. It quickly became a competition, with Darcy coming out as reigning champion (he can even roll backwards, and drink while rolling along..as you'll see in the picture)! Here's Kim trying her luck...
And Darcy rolling along, while taking a drink...
Here's a pic of Mitch trying to hide behind me, while Darcy is getting the fire going...
Mitch having a good laugh on the picnic table...
Kim and I having a rave...Scott looks like he's trying to avoid the conversation (can't say I blame him)! God knows what we were talking about..
And here's a pic of our little visitor, the flying squirrel! He's been around before, last fall he would show up at the bird feeder the same time every night! We tried to get pics of him before, this is the first time we managed. Darcy and Scott slowly crept to the feeder, and managed to get a few feet away from him (last year Darcy even got close enough to pet him). He looks like a regular squirrel, except he has excess skin and looks like a kite when he stretches out..plus he only comes out at night. He doesn't really fly, he glides from place to place. It's a really cool creature!
And here's another pic of him..I'd like to get one of him gliding sometime! It will probably be impossible, but we'll keep on trying! Anyway, that's all for now...we're heading up again this weekend, and then for the long weekend of Easter. Until then, Liss

Hey Guys,
Wow, you got a camera, great news. Now I can expect all kinds of pictures, yehaaa. Looks like you guys had fun last time, but Darcy really had no competition on that log roll, if I was there... you all know who'd be the REAL champ!! Whoop, whooop.
Log rolling by a city mouse? bring it on. I will bring the chain saw when we visit this summer, how many trees in your yard. ha ha ha
You bring it... I have a big one in the back yard we can work with. I already cut the one in the front yard down last summer for practice. You better beware!!!
